Let us look at the simplicity again. If every couple on the planet had two children, they have replaced themselves as far as population growth is concerned. If every couple of the planet had one child, within one lifetime, the global population would have halved. Let us not go into the complexities which, however valid, that argue for two and a half etc. because some of the children will die before they reach their natural life age. Although true, it can be used to confuse or just hide the simplicity of the fact talked about above.
If the global populations could work together to create a global co-operation into achieving global Human Rights as opposed to individual rights or greed and develop egalitarian methods of life and survival, things would be very simple and solely become a mathematical solution as opposed to self interest and ignorance. The mathematical calculations requiring human input however must be provided by this egalitarian society.
